I think we can all agree that slow cookers are a godsend. All you have to do is set and forget and you have a good hearty meal within a few hours. Well, what if I told you you could have two meals instead of one?

A savvy slow cooker fan shared a picture of their new appliance to a popular Facebook group full of cooking tips and tricks. And needless to say, Aussies were desperate to find out where to get their hands on one of their own. The $72 appliance immediately inspiring a number of home cooks who were quick to share their family meal ideas.

'Curried sausages for me and spaghetti bolognese for the kids tonight,' said an anonymous person posting to the page on Wednesday.

'I'd only use the separator to cook two different desserts at once,' said another commenter.

The dual slow cooker certainly seems like an impressive alternative to the double slow cooker 'hack' that has popped up on social media previously. Rather than separating the two sections with a flimsy bit of foil (that really doesn't prevent your meals from combining), this version keeps everything separate and uncontaminated... if you can get your hands on one that is.

So where can you get it?

Although the product is not currently sold in Australia, you can get it from the UK for £40 ($72) plus postage and packaging.

It has also sold out on Amazon UK, but Aussies can try getting one on eBay where one was recently sold for $36.

Triple slow cooker?

According to the Daily Mail Australia,a dual slow cooker isn't as good as it gets. I know, right?! You can also get an appliance designed to feed an army in the form of a three-pot slow cooker. Yep, three slow-cooked dinners in the time it would usually take to make one.

Westinghouse sells a three-pot slow cooker that has a stainless steel body with independent dials so you can cook meals with different temperature settings at the same time.

It also has removable ceramic inserts so you can clean with ease and tempered glass lids for easy monitoring. It's sold at a number of retailers including Kitchen Warehouse, Harvey Norman and Amazon AU.
